The R.E.S.E.T Studio™
Open Studio Sessions
WHAT HAPPENS INSIDE
-
We begin in the body, because that's where the workday lives.
Before anything cognitive can shift, the physical holding pattern of high-demand work needs to be addressed. This guided sequence moves through progressive muscle tension release and somatic stretching designed specifically for the postural and physiological patterns that build up in clinical environments — the bracing, the guarding, the physical cost of presence.
You don't need to be flexible. You just need to be willing to be gentle and intentional
-
Restoration that stays in the head doesn't hold.
This portion of the session uses guided creative expression through painting— not as art class, and not as journaling. Creative processing bypasses the cognitive defenses that often keep healthcare professionals stuck in analysis and allows something more honest to surface. Nothing is evaluated. Everything is held with care.
No artistic skill required.
-
RESET is designed to feel different from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is relaxed, warm, and intentionally unhurried—with music that feels familiar enough to make you smile, hum along, or quietly sing the words you forgot you knew.
The curated playlist moves across genres and generations, blending recognizable feel-good songs, soulful favorites, nostalgic throwbacks, and easygoing tracks that create a kind of musical time machine. One song may take you back to a summer, another to a road trip, a family gathering, college, or simply a version of yourself you haven’t thought about in a while.
The goal isn’t loud entertainment or spa music. It’s familiar, chill, nostalgic, and alive—music that helps the room soften while people paint, graze, reflect, talk, laugh, and reconnect.
-
A curated graze table is set for the group — an intentional moment of unhurried nourishment that is itself part of the experience. Healthcare professionals spend their days caring for others. This is a moment to be present and just enjoy!
-
Guests are given space to notice what surfaced during the creative process, journal their thoughts, and share what they are comfortable sharing. The focus is on reflection, meaningful conversation, and connection without pressure or forced disclosure.Sharing is voluntary.
-
The closing sequence is where the framework lands.
Drawing from The Reset Studio™ clinical framework — grounded in neuroscience, trauma-informed practice, and immune system research — this guided reset brings the session to an integrated close. You'll move through evidence-based practices designed to shift your nervous system out of sustained activation and into a regulated, restorative state.
You'll leave understanding what just happened in your body. And you'll have the tools to return to that state on your own.
This is the reset the research recommends.
You belong here if...
You spend much of your time caring for others, feel mentally or physically overloaded, miss having room to slow down, or simply want a few intentional hours to reconnect with yourself.
You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from the experience.
Open Studio is designed for the healthcare professional who:
Knows something needs to shift but has not had a structured space to begin
Has been running on less than they have to give and wants a way back
Carries the weight of their work home and does not always know how to put it down
Is missing meaningful connection, reflection, and support
Wants space to think, create, breathe, and notice what has been pushed aside
Is curious about The RESET Studio™ experience before bringing it to their team
What This Is Not
This is not group therapy.
It is not a wellness seminar with a workbook, PowerPoint, and goodie bag.
The goal is not to analyze you or ask you to disclose more than you want to share.
The goal is to give you room to slow down, release some of what you have been carrying, create, reflect, connect, and leave with a clearer sense of what may need most.
Everything You Need to Know
How long is the Open Studio experience?
Each Open Studio session is approximately 3 hours. The experience is intentionally unhurried, with time to move, create, reflect, connect, graze, and reset without feeling rushed.
What is the cost?
Open Studio is $197 per person. Your reservation includes the full 3-hour guided experience, all painting materials, curated grazing, beverages, facilitated reflection, movement, nervous-system regulation practices, and the closing RESET experience.
Where is it?
Open Studio is held at The RESET Studio™ in Little Elm, Texas. Full location details are provided with your reservation.
How often can I attend?
The R.E.S.E.T Studio is designed as a recurring restorative experience that supports resilience and helps sustain wellbeing under the demands of the work you do. It is recommended that participants attend quarterly as a regular reset point, though some guests may choose to come monthly, twice a year, once a year, or simply whenever they notice they need space to pause and recalibrate.
Each session may feel different depending on the theme, creative prompt, season of life, and what you are carrying at the time. Some guests come once for a meaningful reset; others return regularly as part of how they intentionally create space for reflection, recovery, and renewal.
What should I wear?
Come comfortable. You’ll be doing gentle movement, stretching, sitting, painting, and relaxing throughout the experience. Wear clothes that allow you to move easily and that you would not be devastated to get a little paint on.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. Everything you need for the experience is provided, including art materials. You are welcome to bring your own journal if you have one you enjoy using, but it is not required. We have journals and pens available
Is food included?
Yes. A curated grazing table with light bites and beverages is available throughout the experience. There is no formal meal break—you are encouraged to graze whenever you need to.
Do I need painting experience?
Not at all. This is not an art class and there is no expectation that you create something “good.” The painting prompt is used as a tool for reflection, expression, and slowing down. No artistic experience is necessary.
Is sharing required?
No. Everyone is given an opportunity to reflect and share, but participation is always invitational. You decide how much or how little you want to say.
Is this therapy?
No. Open Studio is not group therapy and does not replace mental health treatment. It is a clinically informed restorative wellness experience designed to support reflection, regulation, connection, and intentional pause.
What is the cancellation policy?
Because space is intentionally limited, reservations should be considered a commitment to attend. Cancellations and transfer requests should be made in advance according to the policy provided at checkout.
I’d insert your exact refund/transfer timeframe here once you decide it.
Is parking available?
Yes. Parking is available onsite at the Little Elm location.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Many guests come on their own. You do not need to know anyone in the room before you arrive. The experience is designed to allow both individual reflection and natural connection with others.
Can I bring a friend or colleague?
Yes. You are welcome to attend with a friend, coworker, or colleague. Each guest must have their own reservation because space is intentionally limited and materials, food, and seating are prepared in advance for each participant.
Coming with someone you know can be a great way to share the experience, but you will still have plenty of room for your own reflection, creativity, and reset.
Your Facilitator
Dr. Shahidrah Cowgill, is a licensed clinician, trauma specialist, researcher, and creator of The R.E.S.E.T Studio™. For nearly two decades, her work has focused on the impact of prolonged stress, trauma, grief, relationships, and the patterns that develop when capable people are expected to keep functioning through difficult things.
She created The RESET Studio™ to offer something different: a clinically informed, safe space where healthcare professionals can slow down, regulate, create, reflect, connect, and intentionally make room for their own wellbeing.
