3. The RESET Studio™ Is Wellness, Not Therapy

Participation in The RESET Studio™ does not establish a therapist-client relationship, physician-patient relationship, or other clinical treatment relationship.

Although programs may be designed or facilitated by licensed mental health professionals and informed by clinical research, RESET experiences are wellness and educational services and are not psychotherapy, counseling, medical care, diagnosis, crisis intervention, or treatment for a mental health or medical condition.

Participation should not be used as a substitute for care from a licensed healthcare or mental health provider.

If you are already receiving counseling or other clinical services from Dr. Shahidrah Cowgill or another provider, your participation in a RESET wellness experience does not alter the terms of that separate clinical relationship.

4. Not Emergency or Crisis Services

The RESET Studio™ does not provide emergency or crisis services through its website, events, memberships, email, social media, or wellness programming.

If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, believe you may harm yourself or another person, or require immediate assistance, contact 911, 988, or an appropriate emergency service or healthcare provider.

5. Participation and Personal Responsibility

The RESET Studio™ experiences are designed to be accessible and invitational. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for you.

Participants are encouraged to:

  • modify or decline movements or exercises as needed

  • pause whenever necessary

  • choose how much or how little they wish to share

  • communicate relevant accessibility needs in advance when possible

  • seek appropriate medical guidance when necessary

Sharing during reflective or group portions of an experience is voluntary.

You should not participate in physical activities that you believe could aggravate an injury, illness, pregnancy-related restriction, mobility concern, or other medical condition. Consult an appropriate healthcare provider if you are uncertain whether participation is appropriate for you.

6. No Guaranteed Outcomes

The RESET Studio™ is designed to provide opportunities for restoration, reflection, connection, stress regulation, self-awareness, and wellbeing.

Individual experiences and outcomes vary.

The RESET Studio™ does not guarantee that participation will prevent or resolve burnout, eliminate stress, improve a medical or mental health condition, improve employment performance, prevent turnover, or produce any particular personal, professional, organizational, or health outcome.

Research discussed on this website may support individual components or concepts incorporated into the The RESET Studio™ methodology. Unless expressly stated otherwise, such research should not be interpreted as evidence that the specific RESET Studio™ program itself has been clinically validated for a particular outcome.
